Teladoc Health an international healthcare company, is looking for RN s to work directly with Members/Families and Physician Experts to support and drive the success of the Critical Care Program while a member or covered individual is hospitalized. The program will provide expedited Expert Medical Opinions for the Member or their family to assist in real time decision making and to act in a collaborative fashion with the treating team. The Nurse Specialist also supports the Global team in managing the Critical Care On-Call program 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, the Nurse Specialist will have special projects as assigned by the Director to drive success of Teladoc Health.

What you will do:
  • Facilitate communication between Teladoc Health s medical team, Physician Experts, case managers and members/customers relative to acuity of injuries/illnesses, treatment indications, recovery projections for optimal outcome.
  • Facilitate expedited medical information gathering (hospital records, films, diagnostic tests) to allow optimal Expert analysis.
  • Exhibit understanding of a wide range of diagnoses to assist in the engagement of appropriate Expert specialists.
  • Ability to review and summarize clinically pertinent issues from extensive medical records for Expert review
  • Coordinate and host teleconference conversation between Teladoc Health Medical Director for Critical Care and/or Expert Physicians and the member/family as necessary.
  • Facilitate coordination of Expert recommendations in a timely and pro-active manner as requested
  • Maintain internal QA standards for reporting case progress
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • What we are looking for:
  • Case Management experience mandatory
  • Catastrophic case management experience
  • This position can be worked remotely
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills, analytical problem solving, research capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective team player, self-directed with pro-active management style
  • Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel, internet search
  • Strong typing skills of 50 wpm as a minimum.
  • Education and Experience:
  • RN required, BSN preferred
  • CCM and/or CRRN or CCRN preferred
  • Clinical experience in ICU/ER/Trauma care setting/Rehabilitation/Case Management 8 to 10 years.
  • Insurance knowledge helpful
